NDC Women Sign Mahama Book of Condolence

A group of women appointees under the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration has signed the book of condolence in memory of Captain Maxwell A. Mahama.

The deceased is the nephew of President John Mahama under whom most of the ladies served in different capacities.

Captain Mahama was lynched by irate youth of Denkyira Obuasi in the Central Region on Monday May 29 on suspicion that he was an armed robber, after a trader spotted a gun on him.

Forty-two suspects are being held in police custody in relation to the case as investigations continue. Meanwhile, the family has announced that the deceased will be buried on Friday, June 9.

Former Attorney General and Minister of Justice Betty Mould Iddrisu, former Minister of Environment, Science and Technology Sherry Aryeetey, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Hanna Tetteh, former Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, former Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection Nana Oye Lithur, former Deputy Minister Of Tourism Dzifa Gomashie, former Attorney General and Minister of Justice Marietta Brew Appiah-Opong; Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture Hannah Bissiw, and Minister of Transport Dzifa Aku Ativor were some of the ladies at the family house of Captain Mahama on Monday, June 5 to sign the book of condolence.
