Nana Obiri Boahen however noted that the first time the armed men went to Mr. Adams house, there were 12 vehicles parked in the house but they couldn’t authenticate the owners of the said vehicles.

He added that they reported to the Police so the monitor the movements of the vehicles for a while but had not choice to seize the remaining as it was left with 5 when they returned to Kofi Adams house.

Nana Obiri Boahen was speaking on JoyNews’s Newsfile via phone with host, Samson Anyenini.

“It is not correct that 15 armed soldiers or policemen went to Kofi Adams’ house, that’s very very important. But the unimpeachable information is that the first time, they went there on Saturday and 12 vehicles had been parked at Kofi Adams’ house”, he disclosed

“…then they reported to the Police at the Gulf City Police. So the arrangement was that the Police will monitor the movements of those vehicles till the following Monday. On Monday when they went there, there were only 5 vehicles, and that was why they took away those 5 vehicles”.

“In the fullness of time we will give comprehensive details about all of these things”, the Deputy NPP General Secretary added.

He noted that he had gotten involved in the car seizure case because the NDC General Secretary and former President were making “uncomplimentary” comments about the NPP as a party.

On Wednesday February 1, 15 armed men dressed in military fatigues, suspected to be army personnel, stormed the private residence of Mr Adams in Tema, and seized all his five vehicles in the company of four alleged National Security officers and personnel from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA).
