“Today Ghana is full of stress; everyone goes through stress every day. It boils down to the socio-economic conditions,” he emphasised.

This, he said was due to the fact that Ghana at 60 years had fared badly as compared to contemporary countries like Singapore and Malaysia.

Dr Anyagre, who made the observation with Ghana News Agency in Accra, said Ghana should have made a lot of stride in agricultural development at 60.

“We have so far achieved the opposite as compared to the contemporary countries in terms of the amazing socio-economic, infrastructure development.

” Their development was based on the fact that; their leaders were focused. They worked towards their vision to help people in their countries, in terms of food, shelter and clothing. They have been able fulfil their basic needs of life.

Dr Anyagre said Ghana should emulate the development qualities of the late and first President Dr Kwame Nkrumah.

“Kwame Nkrumah is gone, but we should begin to have leaders with vision, “adding that when a leader identified a vision it helped his or her generation and those unborn to drive it into fruition.

“Ghanaians should have the vision to make the country a prosperous nation and reduce poverty, hunger and disease. As human beings we need to enjoy and our standard of living needs to improve.

“We should think right and see how best we can secure the future. Let us go back to Nkrumah, let us look at his ideas, the projects that he did, and his relevant ideas,” he said.
