It was a mixed weekend for Ghanaian players as all the league championships across the globe returned from a long recess.

Following Thomas Agyapong’s return from injury last week, there was an another exciting injury news this weekend as Caleb Ekuban graced the pitch after three months on the sidelines.

The importance of Albert Adomah to Aston Villa also came to bear after the Villans lost for the first time more than six games in the Ghanaian absence.

Dauda Mohammed made his second appearance for Anderlecht but failed to inspire them victory as they were downed 1-0 at Sint Truiden.

Lastly, Alhassan Wakaso’s 100th appearance in the Portuguese Primeira Liga ended in shame as he picked a direct red card in just 29 minutes on the clock.
