Award-winning Ghanaian highlife singer, Kwabena Kwabena has rubbished rumors that his current marriage to Abena Owusuwaa has ended.
According to the veteran artist, he is still legally married but does not wear a ring on his finger because of his love for the Ghanaian traditional culture.
In interview on Adom FM’s ‘Work and Happiness’ hoted by Ohemaa Woyeje on Wednesday, Kwabena Kwabena said, “I am still a married man. I don’t have a ring because I am not into the western culture. I married the traditional way…” the silky voice high-life singer said.
George Kwabena Adu, tied his second knot in 2010 over the weekend at the forecourt of His Majesty’s (HM) in La, a suburb of Accra.
Reports however suggest that the second marriage of the artist is in turmoil.
He has therefore pleaded with his fans and well-wishers to support him in prayers but avoid following negative speculations which yields no profit.
“Every human goes through challenges especially when it comes to marriage. I will plead with my fans to support me in prayers. Everything will be restored. Don’t follow speculations.
I am appealing to them to let go of the hearsays…minor issues turn major when you are famous. But I cannot complain…” he said.
