Sittings of the Supreme Court will from Monday, October 3 to Wednesday, November 30 be at the former building.
Sittings of the Court of Appeal will also be at the ground floor of the Law Court Complex.
This is as a result of renovation works ongoing at the Supreme Court and the two Court of Appeal courtrooms as well as their conference rooms.
A statement issued by Judicial Secretary on Tuesday, September 20 said the contractor, who began work on August 1, had indicated to management that the renovation, which was originally scheduled to be completed before the start of the legal year, had delayed due to the volume of work.
Work has now been scheduled to be completed at the end of November.
“We regret the inconvenience this may cause our judges, lawyers, court users and the general public,” Justice Alex Poku-Acheampong’s statement said.
“We wish to assure all stakeholders and the general public that this exercise is in the best interest of the Service and is designed to improve justice delivery.”
Directional signs are expected to be erected for easy access to the Court of Appeal courtroom.
“Officials of the Judicial Service will be available when the courts resume to direct court users and the general public to the appropriate courts.”
