The beneficiary communities are Gyamtutu in the East Gonja district (Salaga), Kukuo in the Nanumba south district, Makango in the East Gonja district and Wulugu in the West Mamprusi district.

The rest are Gambaga, Gbintiri, Nalerigu and Atabiya all in the East Mamprusi district and Katejili, Kitare, Kokonagye and Mbowura all in the Kpandai district.

The Royal Bank Foundation’s Board Chairman, Faustell Asogba Cofie at the inauguration of the Gbintiri water facility said the bank was committed to its Corporate Social Responsibility, hence the projects.

He disclosed that the foundation since its establishment has so far constructed 102 projects.

He gave the assurance that the foundation will continue to provide humanitarian services to deprived communities.

He said routine maintenance will be carried to enhance the facilities lifespan.

Faustell Asogba Cofie impressed upon residents of the beneficiary projects to maintain the facilities.

The Gbintiri chief, Ubor Jababu Wajak commended the Royal Bank Foundation for the project.

He said the community lacked clinic, a dam and a second cycle institution.

Ubor Jababu Wajak appealed to other philanthropists, corporate bodies and Non Governmental Organizations to emulate the Royal Bank Foundation’s intervention.

Some of the residents narrated to Citi News that water crisis in the past compelled them to drink contaminated water with their animals.

They described the borehole as treasure and praised the Royal Bank Foundation for alleviating their plight.

The main objective of the Royal Bank Foundation is to give back to the society.

Supporting needy but brilliant pupils and assisting Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) to secure jobs is one of the foundation’s ambitions.

The Royal Bank started operations on December 10, 2012 after it was issued with a license by the Bank of Ghana to undertake universal banking services.

The TRB’s vision is to be the bank of choice and its mission is to provide an excellent, innovative and world class banking experience.
