Police Did A Lazy Job On Kofi Adams’ Seized Cars – Abronye DC

The Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, a.k.a. Abronye DC, has descended heavily on the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Police Service for not inviting him in their probe into Kofi Adams’ five vehicles that were recently seized by some security operatives.

About 15 soldiers wielding AK 47 assault rifles reportedly stormed the Tema residence of Kofi Adams over a fortnight ago, seized two Land Cruisers and three pick-ups.

The soldiers went to his house in the company of some officials of the Driver and Vehicle Licencing Authority (DVLA) and made away with the vehicles. Some New Patriotic Party (NPP) activists defended the raid, saying the seized vehicles were owned by the state.

But on Thursday afternoon, the CID released the said vehicles to Kofi Adams. This follows detailed investigations that were carried out to establish the ownership of the said vehicles.

Abronye DC commenting on the action of the Police on Kumasi-based Abusua FM on Friday said he was very surprised the C. I.D did not invite him since he has all the genuine documentations covering those cars and was part of the people that raided Kofi Adams’ home.

“The Police are lazy and so did a lazy job. It would have been proper if they had refrained from probing how those cars were acquired. Let me state emphatically that those cars belong to the state“, he noted.

He insisted that the documents covering the said vehicles and which are in possession of Kofi Adams have been forged, noting that he has the genuine copies of the documents and he’s more than prepared to meet the NDC National Organiser in Court.

“When we get to court, I will prove that this Nissan Hard Body belongs to the Ministry of Education. I will also prove his the V8 was cleared from the port and handed over to the Jubilee House and who it was allocated to.”

“ Nobody can use a letter from the Chief of Staff to claim ownership of the vehicles. If the car is not two years old, you cannot auction it. The car was bought in 2015 so how can you sell it in 2016? The person [Kofi Adams] only showed a letter from the Chief of Staff to indicate that it was given to him but showed no documentation covering that vehicle. They didn’t invite else I would have proven to them the vehicles still belong to the State“, he stressed.

He told Adinkra that his inspiration is to save the country more money, hence, his vigilante work.

“As we speak, all the missing vehicles are valued at close to US$35 million. We have seized 25 V8 from people so far.

The cheapest V8 on the market is about US$100,000. Multiply that by 25 and you will see how much we have saved for the nation“, he said.
