The Executive Chairman of Papaye Fast Foods Dr. Samir Kalmoni has stated unequivocally that his outfit will continue to provide quality food , services and employment to Ghanaians especially the youth.
Adding that, the company is also scheming to take some of the staff out the country to acquire additional skills that would equip them to deliver quality services to the Ghanaian populate.
Dr. Samir Kalmoni, made this remark when Papaye Fast Food Limited marked its Silver Jubilee in Accra.
According to him, some 25years ago, he had a dream of creating an enabling environment where people will not waste their productive time looking for food to buy; but easily have access to quality food with time and space compressed.
We are looking forward in the coming years to expand further in Accra , move to other Regions and consider moving out to Africa.
This he said, they will continue to invest on machinery, equipment and materials aimed at modernizing their operations in order to satisfied to customers better .
Papaye will soon roll out a local menu to satisfy the needs of our valued customers who have asked for more” , he noted.
The Chief Executive Officer of Papaye Fast Foods Mr. Divine Asiedu , stated the company has come to occupy in the competitive and volatile fast food industry.
According to him, Papaye Fast Food was incorporated and issued with certificate to commence business on 17th of June, 1991.
Papaye has since been a good corporate citizen by being in good standing with the Ghana Tourism Authority, Accra Metropolitan Authority , Ghana Revenue Authority , Ghana Chamber of Commerce , Ghana Investment Promotion Centre , Association of Ghana Industries Food and Drugs Authority , Environmental Protection Agency and the Ghana Standard Authority.
To complete 25 eventful years and keep up the space of winning accolades as a top notch and trustworthy service provider , striving hard to live up to the people’s expectations is a herculean task.
This he said, Papaye’s corporate vision is to be the brand leader in the integrated hospitality industry in Ghana.
However, he cited high cost of inputs , unfair competition in the industry mainly caused by competitors as a challenge on the path of the company.
Some of them have evaded the statutory payments , the fluctuations in the exchange rate, the influx low standard operators churning out substandard food and the recent power crisis.
Another major challenge is the acquisition of strategic operational sites.
According to him, the company has lined up some activates to mark their 25th Silver Jubilee including:
Media launch of the 25th (Silver Jubilee) Anniversary celebration and unveiling of the new logo
– Donation of cash , food and other items to Osu Children’s Home, Tema SOS Children Village
-Float through selected streets in Accra touching base at all branches
– Papaye Blood Donation Exercise . Spintex Branch – involving Staff and Customers
– Family Day Out / Picnic / Fun Games (Papaye Staff & Media)
Others are : Anniversary Dinner and Awards Night
– Workers Award Day and Thanksgiving Service (Christian & Moslem)
