Owusu Bempah, Others Unable To Prophecy After 2016 Election

Deputy Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kwaku Boahen is wondering why men of God are all quite in spite of the increased misfortunes in the country.

According to him, the deafening silence of the prophets who were vociferous during the erstwhile Mahama regime is ‘sickening’.

Citing to recent Kintampo falls disaster as an example, the NDC man could not fathom why leader of Glorious Word Ministry, Rev Isaac Owusu-Bempah who predicted doom for Ghana could not avert it.

“I’m sad about most of the renowned pastors. I don’t know why they are quite. There are a lot of bad things going on and they are quite. Last year, the pastors were very active to call on the press to matters at hand. They are quite. Owusu Bempah, Professor Martey, the Christian council, Pentecostal council, they are all quite. No pastor has come out to say anything towards the happenings. People are asking if there is anything going wrong. Why don’t they tell us to pray to God to stop all these things?” he stated on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Monday.

Kwaku Boahen is convinced the men of God are quite because of their bias toward the Akufo-Addo led government.

“Where are they now? Is it because they didn’t like the previous government? At least they should even come out to say something to the happenings in the society? If the major pastors have got what they wanted after the elections then we pray to them to come and talk. Up till now, no pastor has come around to say we should come out to pray for these things so it doesn’t happen again…” he added.

On the way forward, Kwaku Boahen said the NDC is set to organize a ‘prayer and fasting’ program to purify the country once again.

“If it isn’t the president who has asked them to stop talking, I urged them to come forward to help us reverse the bad luck the NPP government has brought upon the country. We will organize a prayer and fasting program to clear the bad luck they NPP government brought to power…” he said.
