The press release announcing a cancellation of an evening encounter of the IEA with the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is fake, Ms. Jean Mensa has said.
She appealed to the public to disregard the contents of the said release stating that it was not authored by the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA).
A release purportedly issued and signed by Ms. Jean Mensa canceled the event blaming it on the unavailability of the candidate for the exercise despite several postponements.
But Ms Jane Mensa told Ultimate Fm’s Ato Kwamena Haizel that she never issued such a release maintaining that it could have been the work of some faceless individuals to dent the credibility of the think tank
The programme which is organized for Presidential Candidates of political parties with representatives in Parliament has seen the People’s National Convention’s Dr Edward Nasigre Mahama and Convention People’s Party’s Ivor Kobina Greenstreet taking their turns on the evening encounters.
