Nana Addo had received tons of commendations from political stakeholders for his recent appointments; until the embarrassing speech gaffe which caused an uproar in the country. Following the massive uproar on social media, the Director of Communications at the presidency, Eugene Arhin; subsequently apologized for the portions of President Nana Addo’s speech, which did not acknowledge the sources of some of the quotes.

Despite the apology, there have been calls for sanction on the speech writers responsible for the hoax. Mr. Mubarak, a first time MP, has frowned at the embarrassing blunder, as well as expressed doubts regarding the competence of Nana Addo’s appointed staff.

Ras Mubarak explained that the hoax has in a way, killed the excitement of those who so much believed in Nana Addo’s recent appointees.

Nana Addo’s appointment of young persons as his staff had been lauded by many political stakeholders. Many commended Akufo Addo for appointing young and vibrant people whom they believe to have what it takes to take see to the efficiency of the current administration.

But Ras Mubarak says that the recent slip has shown that the appointees are not competent enough to take up the tough task.
