The Mobile Care Insurance is currently available for MTN Pay Monthly customers.

Senior Marketing Manager MTN, Mr. Sakyi Opoku, said by paying a premium, customers who subscribe will be able to take their phone back repaired or replaced under the insurance cover purchased.

He explained that the insurance policy covered only the mobile phones, adding that existing phones of customers could only be registered under the screen damage policy only and would require pre-screening.

Mr. Opoku said a temporary phone would be made available if the repairs went beyond 48 hours.

The Mobile Care, however, does not cover damage from water, liquid drops, immersion or submersion or any form of liquid.

Premiums can be paid through the standard MTN postpaid payment options.

Group Head Corporate Affairs and Marketing GLICO GROUP, Nana Efua Rockson, said the essence of the mobile insurance was to protect and offer the peace of mind needed for the continuous delight of using mobile phones.

“As pacesetters in the insurance industry and a brand of choice in Ghana, GLICO sees this launch as an exciting and privileged opportunity to be powering MTN, a great giant in the telecommunications industry in Ghana,” she said.

Nana Rockson said GLICO was more convinced that the partnership would offer all MTN subscribers value-added benefits for the pleasurable use of their mobile devices.
