Martin Amidu Just Being ‘skin Pain’ – Kofi Adams

Campaign coordinator of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) says they are not worried about the ‘hate campaign’ being waged against the party by former Attorney General, Martin Amidu.

Kofi Adams said the conduct and constant critique of the Mahama-led government by the ‘Citizen Vigilante’ will not cost the NDC’s victory in next month’s elections.

Martin Amidu is now an outcast in NDC following his call on Ghanaians to vote out the ruling party. The former AG fought off the state and businessman, Alfred Woyome to obtain a favourable Supreme Court judgment ordering the state to get the NDC financier to cough out GHC51.2million.

But the only way the money can be retrieved, Mr. Amidu stressed is by showing the NDC the exit in the December 7 general elections.

He maintained that, President Mahama has allowed corruption to fester in his government; a situation he believes is uncomplimentary of northerners.

In a rebuttal, Kofi Adams on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Tuesday, said Martin Amidu is embarking on the hate campaign because he is envious of President Mahama.

He indicated that, the former AG is a “bitter” man, thus behaviours so the NDC will not have sleepless nights over him.

“President Mahama is fighting corruption, something Martin Amidu could not do as an Attorney General so his action is borne out of envy” he stated.

The NDC National Organizer said President Mahama’s commitment to fighting corruption in the history of the fourth republic is unparalleled therefore anyone claiming to be championing such cause should rather support him to rid Ghana off corruption.

Kofi Adams noted that, they are surprised Martin Amidu is seeking to discredit their candidate for the December polls because “we know we will encounter bad luck but God will see us through”.
