In an interview with DAILY GUIDE, Mr. Prah (a.k.a Soo Papa) indicated that, the Mahama led NDC administration has rendered the region poor alleging that some NDC women organizers had diverted product and materials meant for the region’s school feeding program.

The fire-brand communication director further noted that living condition in the region was worse off. “Eastern Region has the poorest road network, our roads are very bad,” he said.

When pushed, David Prah revealed that the NPP “is not terrified by the President’s visit at all”. He mentioned that, his party was set to rake in about 80% of the region’s votes in the December general polls.

Commenting on the Presbyterian College of Education Teacher Trainees endorsement of NPP’s Presidential and Parliamentary Aspirant for the 2016 election, Nana Addo and Nana Ama Dokua respectively, he indicated that, “all the students will pass their exams” because “NDC is a failed party and any student who associates with them will fail”.

The Eastern Regional Communication director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Baba Jamal Koni who was also present disputed his opponent’s arguments and stated that the president would commence the regional tour on Tuesday 25th October from Akyem.

Mr. Mahama who completed the Volta Tour last week was expected to start his tour from Abetifi, where he would meet fisher folks as well as farmers at Sempoa and also address a mini-rally at Mpraeso Lorry Park at Nkawkaw to inaugurate the Kwahu Fodoa Community Day Senior High School.

Mr Mahama would end his first day with a durbar in the Abuakwa North constituency, where Victor Smith is standing as NDC’s parliamentary candidate.

On Tuesday, the President would address a mini-rally at Ofoase-Ayirebi and then inaugurate a Community Senior High School at Akwatia. There would also be a mini-rally at Suhum.

On the third day, Mr Mahama would head for the Abuakwa South constituency, the home of his arch-rival Nana Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party.

The president would also call on the Okyenhene, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, after which a mini-rally would be held in his honour at the Kyebi lorry park.

He would then continue to Adoagyiri-Nsawam, Akuapim North and South and then the Okere constituency, where he would wrap up with a mini-rally at Adukrom.

On the last day, Mr Mahama would head for Koforidua and later end his tour at Lower Manya Krobo on Friday, October 28.
