These were the words of former Ashanti regional Minister, Daniel Ohene Agyekum when he addressed scores of people including traders, students, youth groups and some workers at Juaso in the Asante Akyem South district of the Ashanti region.

Mr Agyekum told the charged crowd including NDC supporters that President Jon Mahama has been compelled to embark on a vigorous campaign because of the deliberate lies being told by the NPP and its surrogates.

He said the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah and other prominent personalities in the NEC have lined the campaign to spread the good news and also to assure the masses of the good policies the John Mahama administration intends to roll out from 2017 when he wins the election.

Mr Agyekum who is also the Board Chairman of COCOBOD cautioned electorates not to make a mistake to vote for the NPP.

“Many of the projects started by Dr Kwame Nkrumah were abandoned or destroyed by the Busia administration when KWAME Nkrumah was overthrown. They did the same between 2001 and 2008 when NDC 1 and 2 under the Rawlings administration left office. We cannot afford to see the numerous projects, roads, schools hospitals and the rest stall because you made a wrong choice” he added amidst loud cheers and applause.

Presidential Staffer Kojo Adu Asare also urged the electorates to vote massively for the NDC Parliamentary candidate for the area to compliment the Presidents work. He also used the occasion to teach the people how to vote to reduce the number of spoilt ballots on December 7.

Chief of Staff Julius Debrah thanked the people for their continued support and assured of more development initiatives by the President John MAHAMA.

The Chief of Staff who is on a five day campaign tour of the Ashanti region ol was accompanied by the Minister for Works and Housing, the Ashanti regional Minister and his deputy, deputy Minister for Communications, Ato Sarpong, former Youth Organizer of the NDC, Ludwig Hlodze, Mawushie Dzirasah a Presidential Aide, Solomon Nkansah, National Communication Officer of the NDC and his deputies.

The delegation earlier paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Juaso, Nana Asafoaka Adjei Tebi who commended President MAHAMA and his government for some major projects in the area particularly Juaso. These include the tarring of the town roads under the Cocoa roads rehabilitation project, a secondary school and the completion of staff bungalows which were abandoned since the NDC left office in 2001.

The Juaso Chief also commended the DCE for the area for his singular effort that has finally ended a protracted Chieftaincy dispute in the area.

Nana Asafoaka Adjei Tebi also assured government of the availability of land for Agric projects and hoped President Mahama when retained will lobby investors to the area.

“State Farm’s at Juaso have collapsed. We still have over 500 acres available for lease and nearly 10,000 acres in other communities for farm projects” he added.

Chief of Staff Julius Debrah and his delegation first paid a courtesy call on the ASANTEHENE, Otumfuor OSEI Tutu II, to extend the Presidents best regards and to receive his blessings.

His meeting with Otumfuor Osei Tutu II was held in camera.
