According to the chief of staff Julius Debrah, Mahama abhors discrimination and wants both the rich and the poor to enjoy the same facility.

“What President John Dramani Mahama is doing is to create an enabling environment where every citizen would be able to enjoy equal opportunities, irrespective of race, color, creed or political affiliation,” Mr. Debrah said.

He added: “He is building a nation where both the rich and the poor, weak nor strong, would enjoy the same facilities therein and not a privileged few. This is what we call vision in progress.”

He indicated that the provision of water, electricity, roads, interchanges, hospitals, affordable housing among other key developmental projects are evidenced to the fact that the President is committed to invest in people and make life comfortable for all.

According to him, the manifesto of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) is a blueprint which contains realistic plans and policies that “when accomplished within the next four years could change the complexion of Ghana and make every citizen count”.

The Chief of Staff is currently touring the Greater Accra region to shore up votes for Mahama in his re-election bid.

He has so far toured the Upper West, Volta, Brong Ahafo, Eastern and the Ashanti regions.

He said it would be in the interest of Ghanaians to maintain Mahama to continue with his vision of transformation which will create the needed opportunity for everybody, especially the under privileged.

The Chief of Staff interacted with the clergy, professionals, paid courtesy calls on the Chiefs and influential people in the areas he visited.

He engaged students, nurses, taxi and trotro drivers, market women among other groupings informing them of the achievements of Mahama and reasons why the President and the NDC should be maintained for another four years.

Mr. Debrah’s entourage is made up of Prof. Kwamena Ahwoi, madam Faustina Nelson, presidential staffers Mawusi Dzirasa, Emelia Arthur and Kojo Adu Asare, Deputy minister of communications Ato Sarpong.

The rest are the Greater Accra NDC campaign coordinator Sylvester Mensah, regional chairman Joseph Ade Coker, other national and regional executives.

He predicted one touch victory for Mahama, saying Ghana is moving forward and not backward.
