The taskforce, according to the caretaker of the house stormed the house upon a tipoff from some unknown persons that there were some 34 vehicles parked in the yard which they suspected are state vehicles.

The taskforce which leader could not immediately be identified was said to have demanded that they be allowed to tow the 34 vehicles which they suspected to be part of the over two hundred state vehicles reportedly missing.

This request from the taskforce led to confrontations between the members of the taskforce and the caretaker, Kofi Albert who insisted the vehicles which had only DP number plates were never part of the government’s pool of vehicles but instead belonged to a private garage, Apsonic Motors Ghana Limited.

Kofi Albert told Adom News’ Kwame Yankah that he rented the yard out to Apsonic Motors Ghana Limited in June 2016 when the company approached him that they needed a place to park their vehicles.

The confrontation was said to have lasted for hours leading to the caretaker calling in the operators of the garage who came in and presented the documents of the vehicles for scrutiny.

“I was in limbo for almost three hours…the manager of the company came in to testify and the documents of the cars were shown to settle the matter…” he said on Adom FM’s Morning Show, ‘Dwaso Nsem’ on Friday.

The taskforce, Kofi Albert said further didn’t show any warrant before entering the house.

“It is never true these 34 are NDC cars. When my mum died, I wasn’t in Ghana. I came over to take care of the property she left me. They wanted the keys and papers to the cars.

They didn’t bring in any warrant. So that brought the misunderstanding. They acted unprofessionally…,” he stated.
