ESI grabbed the award at the recently held Ghana Tertiary Awards.

Out of the four nominees in the Most Influential Beauty Queen category, ESI emerged winner for her outstanding personality and her public and social services since becoming a beauty queen and a national brand.

ESI, who happens to be the founder of the Pempamsie Foundation, has been a vigorous anti-teenage pregnancy ambassador and a youth empowerment resource person at every given platform.

In an exclusive interview, Esi expressed joy for the honour.

“I am very happy and I thank God for this added blessing to the many ones especially from the year 2015 till now.

“We were four nominees in that category and thankfully I emerged the winner and that’s a great feeling,” she said with emotions in her voice.

According to her, the award encourages her to do more for the society and Ghana at large, as a youth.

“This award also makes me have the feeling that the little I am doing is being recognized and accepted and gives me the urge to do more for others to emulate to help our dear nation,” she lamented.

Head of Events and Projects for the Ghana Tertiary Awards Philip Ohemeng said the Awards, which has been in existence since 2014, continue to honour people with outstanding and exemplary lives in various sectors including leadership skills to encourage tertiary students and the Ghanaian youth.

He commended the board, which went through the selection of nominees for identifying such people to be recognized in the country which seeks to unearth more of such individuals in the various tertiary institutions in the country.
