Wife of New Patriotic Party (NPP) vice-presidential candidate has urged voters in the Awutu Senya West in the Central region not to be swayed by the vote-buying antics of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate, Hanna Serwaa Tetteh.
Ms. Samira Bawumia urged the constituents to accept the gifts and money but still vote against the Foreign Minister and President John Mahama in the December polls for changing their lives from better to worse.
‘When Hanna Tetteh brings money and the goodies, collect it and vote against her because it is your money’ she told supporters after a Kalyppo kick fit organized by the NPP parliamentary candidate, George Andah at Awutu Bontrase Sunday.
The wife of the NPP running mate said the NDC is well noted for distributing items to voters during elections just to lure them to vote for them thus what is happening in the constituency is nothing new.
“What has she [Hanna] done for you? Its time so she is sharing money. It is your own money so take it and vote against her’ she stressed.
Mrs. Bawumia reiterated the commitment of an Akufo- Addo administration to implement the free senior high school policy to support students from poor background.
Presenting George Andah as an alternative, Samira Bawumia said Awutu Senya West needs a selfless leader who will put their interest first.
