The Police Administration has cautioned the public to be cautious of rumors indicating a possible recruitment exercise by the police administration.
In a statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs for the service, Superintendent Cephas Arthur he indicated that the scheduled period for official recruitments by the service is not due, hence the need for the public to disregard rumors or reports suggesting any on-going recruitment exercises.
They are therefore entreating prospective candidates, parents and guardians to be more circumspect so as to avoid being lured into parting with sums of money presumably to purchase recruitment forms.
According to them, the Police Service will make official announcements through the various media outlets to alert members of the public when the time is due.
They also urged the public to report persons involved in the sale of forged or fake documents to the nearest Police Station or to call the Police emergency numbers: MTN and Vodafone Short-code 18555 or 191 on all networks for assistance.
Some 206 police recruits had their enlistment revoked earlier this month. . The recruits who were undergoing training at the Pwalugu Police Training School in the Upper East Region were said to have fallen short of meeting the academic requirements to be enlisted into the Service.
