Auditor-General Submits 2015 Report To Parliament

The Auditor-General has submitted to Parliament a total number of 13 reports on public accounts for the year ended December 31, 2015.

A statement signed by Joseph K. Ghunney, the Director of Public Relations of the Audit Service and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Tuesday, said ‘the Auditor-General wishes to inform all stakeholders and the public about the submission of the reports to Parliament in fulfillment of his constitutional mandate.’

These include: “Report of the Auditor-General on the Public Accounts of Ghana – Ministries, Departments and other Agencies (MDAs) for the year ended 31 December 2015.

“Report of Auditor-General on the Accounts on the Public Accounts of District Assemblies for the financial year ended 31 December 2015.

“Report of Auditor-General on the Accounts on Public Accounts of Ghana-Public Boards, Corporations and other Statutory Institutions for a period ended 31 December 2015.

“Report of Auditor-General on the Public Accounts of Ghana-Polytechnics for the period ended 31 December 2015.

“Report of Auditor-General on the management and utilisation of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) and other statutory funds for the financial year ended 31 December 2015.

“Report of Auditor-General on Bank of Ghana Receipts and Payment for the half year ended 30 June 2016.

Article 187(2) (5) of the 1992 Constitution enjoined the Auditor- General to audit the public accounts of Ghana and of all public offices, including the courts, the central and local government administration, of the universities and public institutions of like nature, of any public corporation or other body or organisation established by an Act of Parliament and report thereon to Parliament.

The statement noted that these reports would be accessed online at the Audit Service website: www.ghaudit.orga
