This weekend wasn’t the best for Ghanaian players abroad in terms of hitting the back of the net as only seven players managed to do that.

It’s always great to have our players who have been on the treatment coming to action as did Kwesi Appiah, but his comeback was sullied with Bernard Kumordzi’s early minute injury sustained in Kortrijk loss.

Solomon Asante was once again the saviour for Phoenix as he snatched a late point for them.

However, the weekend belonged to Grejohn Kyei, who climbed off the bench to score the only goal for Stade Reims to secure their ticket to the French Ligue 1. He hasn’t done much in the season but the goal he scored will in no doubt go into the history books of the club.

Jeffrey Schlupp missed Crystal Palace goalless draw with Watford at the Vicarage Road through injury.

Jordan and Andre Ayew lasted full minutes for Swansea City as they were massacred 5-0 at Manchester City.

In the Championship, Albert Adomah made a cameo appearance for Aston Villa in their 4-0 win at Ipswich Town.

Andy Yiadom lasted full minutes for Barnsley in their 2-1 loss at Leeds United. Caleb Ekuban made a cameo appearance for the victors.

Dennis Odoi played full minutes for Fulham FC in their 3-0 trouncing of Millwall as Neil Warnock’s side moved closer to securing their top flight ticket.

Phil Ofosu-Ayeh missed Wolves 4-0 win at Bolton Wanderers through injury. The win confirmed the Wolves as champions of the second-tier league.

In League One, Bernard Mensah made a cameo appearance for Bristol Rovers in their 2-0 loss at Rotherham.

Tarique Fosu was introduced in the 56th minute for Charlton Athletic in their 1-0 win at Portsmouth. Joe Dodoo was still missing through injury.

Kwesi Appiah returned from a long layoff to make a cameo appearance for AFC Wimbledon in their 2-2 draw with Oldham Athletic. Lloyd Sam warmed the bench for Wimbledon.

Kevin Luckassen was left out of Northampton Town squad that defeated Plymouth Argyle 2-0 at home.

In League Two, Hiram Boateng enjoyed full throttle for Exeter City in their 2-2 draw with Crawley Town.

Elsewhere in the lower leagues, Nana Ofori-Twumasi played 90 minutes for Maidstone in their 3-1 win at Chester . Darius Osei was not included in the victors match day squad.

Kwame Thomas picked a booking but finished the 90 minutes for Solihull in their goalless draw with Aldershot Town.

Nortei Nortey lasted full minutes for Dover Athletic in their 3-2 win over Gateshead.

Harold Odametey enjoyed full period of action for Maidenhead in their 1-0 loss at Dagenham & Red. Nana Owusu warmed the bench for the losers.

Eddie Nketiah bagged a brace to help Arsenal U23 side win 3-1 over West Ham United U23.

Mubarak Wakaso lasted 68 minutes for Deportivo Alaves in their 4-0 win at Las Palmas.

Thomas Partey lasted full minutes of action for Atletico Madrid in their goalless draw with Real Betis.

In the Segunda Division, Yaw Yeboah returned from a knock to make a cameo appearance for Real Oviedo in their 2-1 defeat against Real Valladolid.

Kwadwo Asamoah picked a booking but completed full throttle for Juventus as they were pipped 1-0 by fellow Serie A title hopefuls Napoli at the Allianz Stadium.

Bright Gyamfi warmed the bench for Benevento Calcio as they shocked AC Milan 1-0 at the San Siro.

Alfred Duncan enjoyed 90 minutes for Sassuolo in their 1-0 win over Fiorentina. Claude Adjepong picked a booking but lasted full minutes.

Afriyie Acquah lasted 76 minutes for Torino in their 2-1 defeat at Atalanta.

In the Serie B, Bright Addae enjoyed full period of action for Ascoli in their 2-1 win at Cremonese.

Isaac Donkor picked a booking but completed 90 minutes for AC Cesena in their goalless draw at Brescia.

Patrick Asmah warmed the bench for Salernitana in their 3-1 home defeat against Cittadella. Moses Odjer was left out of the losers squad.

Enock Kwarteng warmed the bench for Nantes in their 1-1 draw with Stade Rennes at home.

Goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi was an unused substitute for Sochaux Montbilliard in their 1-1 draw with Brest.

Grejohn Kyei climbed off the bench to score the winning goal for Stade Reims in their 1-0 win over AC Ajaccio which secured his side their Ligue 1 ticket.

Ebenezer Assifuah warmed the bench for Le Havre in their 2-2 draw at RC Lens.

Baba Rahman and Bernard Tekpetey were left out of Schalke 04 squad that played 2-2 draw at FC Cologne.

Gideon Jung picked a booking but played full throttle for SV Hamburg in their 1-0 win over Freiburg.

Kevin-Prince Boateng was left out of Eintracht Frankfurt squad that suffered a 3-0 defeat at home to Hertha Berlin.

Defender Joseph Baffo missed Eintracht Brauschweig goalless draw with Arminia Bielefeld through injury. Steffen Nkansah was not included to Braunschweig squad.

Christopher Antwi-Adjei played 90 minutes for Paderbon in their 3-0 victory over Unterhaching . Kwame Yeboah missed the game for the victors through injury.

Marcel Appiah lasted 90 minutes for VfL Osnabruck in their 2-1 loss at Aalen.

Agyemang Diawusie lasted 85 minutes for SV Wehen in their 2-0 loss at Hansa Rostock. Michael Akoto warmed the bench for the losers.

Okyere Wriedt scored the final goal for Bayern Munich II in their 4-2 win over  Schalding in the Regionalliga.

Richmond Tachie scored a double brace for Wolfsburg U19 when they whitewashed Osnabruck U19 7-0 in the German Junior Bundesliga

David Atanga scored for St. Polten in their 1-1 draw at his former side Mattersburg.

Majeed Ashimeru was left out of AC Wolfsburger squad that recorded a 2-1 win against Sturm Graz.

Samuel Tetteh was taken off in the 90th minute for LASK Linz in their 1-0 win over Austria Vienna. Kadiri Mohammed made a second half appearance for the losers.

Samuel Oppong lasted 77 minutes for BW Linz as they were thump 3-0 at home by Neudstadt. Young winger Felix Adjei was magnificent for victors.

Kingsley Boateng was an unused substitute for Reid in their 2-0 win over Austria Lustenau.

Gideon Mensah was again missing for FC Liefering with an injury in their goalless draw at Wattens.

Joel Fameyeh played full throttle for Dinamo Brest in their 2-2 stalemate with Smolevichi STI.

Seidu Yahaya lasted 85 minutes for Dinamo Minsk in their 2-1 win over Gomel FC.

Joseph Aidoo enjoyed full period of action for KRC Genk in their 2-1 win over Anderlecht. Francis Amuzu made a cameo appearance for the losers while Dennis Appiah, Emmanuel Adjei Sowah and Dauda Mohammed all missed the game through injuries.

Nana Opoku Ampomah lasted 59 minutes for Beveren-Waasland in their 1-0 defeat against Lierse. Ishahaku Yakubu played the entire duration of the game for the victors.

Kamal Sowah played his first full 90 minutes for OH Leuven during their 3-1 win over Mouscron in the Belgian Europa League playoffs.

Eric Ocansey picked a booking but played 90 minutes for KAS Eupen in their 3-2 win against Sint Truiden in the Belgian Europa League playoffs. Elton Acolatse lasted 61 minutes while Samuel Asamoah warmed the bench for the losers as young goalkeeper Abdul Manaf Nurudeen watched from the bench for the victors.

Nana Akwesi Asare picked a booking but lasted full action for KAA Gent in their 2-1 loss at Sporting Charleroi.

Bernard Kumordzi lasted just 17 minutes after he sustained an injury in Kortrijk 3-0 loss against Zulte Waregem in the Belgian Europa League playoffs.

Divine Narh played 90 minutes for Tubize in their 3-1 loss against KSV Roeselare.

Bernardinho Tetteh was left out of Westerlo squad that defeated St Gilloise 2-0 in the Belgian Proximus League.

Edwin Gyasi missed CSKA Sofia 5-1 thrashing of Vereya after sustaining injury in last week derby defeat to Levski Sofia.

Ohene Carlos was a stalwart for Beroe in their 1-1 draw with CSKA Sofia. Edwin Gyasi made cameo appearance for CSKA.

Richmond Boakye-Yiadom enjoyed the entire duration of the match for Jiangsu Suning in their in their 5-1 win over Shanghai Shenhua.

Frank Acheampong grabbed a goal for Tianjin Teda in their 1-1 draw at Shanghai SIPG.

Maxwell Boadu Acosty played full period for Rijeka in their 1-0 win over Osijek.

Ahmed Said kept the line well for Hadjuk Split in their 2-1 loss against Dinamo Zagreb.

Benjamin Asamoah played the entire duration of the match for Doxa in their 4-1 thumping at Nea Salamis. Francis Narh lasted 61 minutes for the losers.

Benjamin Tetteh played 89 minutes for Bohemians 1905 in their 1-1 stalemate with Jihlava.

Moro Ibrahim picked a booking but played 90 minutes for Silkeborg in their goalless draw at Helsingor.

Kelvin Mensah netted for Brondby in their 4-3 win over FC Nordsjaelland. Ernest Asante played full minutes for the losers while Jonathan Amon made a cameo appearance. Godsway Donyoh missed the game through injury.

Anthony Annan played full throttle for HJK Helsinki in their 2-1 defeat to KuPS. Evans Mensah warmed the bench for HJK.

Baba Mensah was not included in Ilves squad that lost 2-0 at Lahti.

Patrick Twumasi made a cameo appearance for Astana FC in their 2-1 win at Ordabasy.

Gideon Baah is still waiting to make his debut for Kairat Almaty as they defeated Kaiser Kyzylorda 4-1 at home.

Arago Jamal and Abdul Bashiru played full minutes of action for FK Pristina in their 1-0 win at Vllazina Pozheran.

Former Asante Kotoko defender Michael Ofosu Appiah was left out of RFS squad that defeated Valmeira 6-0.

Clifford Aboagye lasted full minutes for Atlas FC in their 1-0 win over Guadalajara Chivas.

In the Eerste Divisie, Leroy Owusu enjoyed his position at left –back for Almere City in their 3-2 loss at Eindhoven FC.

Shadrach Eghan did not make the match day squad for Go Ahead Eagles in their 2-1 defeat at RKC Waalwijk.

Rodney Antwi failed to recover in time for Volendam as they were beaten 2-1 by John Ajax.

Isaac Twum picked a booking but lasted full throttle for IK Start in their 2-0 defeat at Rosenborg BK.

Raymond Gyasi was again missing for Stabaek in their 3-0 loss at SK Brann.

Goalkeeper Nana Bonsu was left out Enugu Rangers squad that played goalless draw at Ifeanyi Ubah.

Fatau Mohammed played 90 minutes for Enyimba FC in their goalless draw with Wikki Tourist. Fatau Dauda warmed the bench for Enyimba FC.

Rabiu Mohammed lasted full minutes of action for Kwara United in their 1-1 draw with Go Round.

Emmanuel Hackman played 90 minutes for Portimonense in their 2-1 loss at Chaves.

Alhassan Wakaso made a cameo appearance for Vitoria Guimaraes in their 2-1 draw at Feirense.

Lumor Agbenyenu made a cameo appearance for Sporting Lisbon in their 1-0 win over Boavista. Quincy Owusu Abeyie was not included in the losers squad.

In the Segunda Liga, Ernest Ohemeng warmed the bench for Arouca in their 2-2 draw at Leixoes. Osei Barnes did not make the squad for Arouca.

Kwame Nsor lasted the entire duration for Academica Viseu in their 2-2 draw with Braga B.

Abdul Aziz Tettteh played full throttle for Dynamo Moscow in their 1-0 win at SKA Khabarovsk

Raphael Dwamena played full minutes for FC Zurich in their 2-1 defeat at FC Luzern.

Kassim Nuhu picked a booking but lasted full throttle for FC Zurich in their 4-1 win over Lausanne.

In the Challenge League, defender Kwadwo Duah made a cameo appearance for Winterthur in their 3-0 loss against Wil.

Richard Ofori was a stalwart for Maritzburg United in their 3-1 win over Mamelodi Sundowns in the semifinals of the Nedbank Cup. Razak Brimah was not included in the losers match day squad.

Edwin Gyimah picked a booking but played full minutes of action for Bidvest Wits in their 1-1 draw with Polokwane.

Patrick Kpozo lasted 67 minutes for Ostersunds in their 2-0 home loss to Orebro. Frank Arhin made a cameo appearance for the losers while Samuel Mensah missed the game through injury.

Nasiru Mohammed provided an assist for Hacken BK in their 2-2 draw with Hammarby. Gershon Koffie was again left out of Hammarby squad.

Thomas Boakye warmed the bench for Halmstad in their 2-defeat at Orgryte.

In the Superettan League, Karim Sadat played full throttle for Landskroma BOIS in their 2-1 loss at Degerfors.

Enock Kwakwa was orchestra in the middle of the park for Falkenbergs in their 3-1 win over Frej.

Danny Amankwaa lasted 55 minutes for Hearts of Midlothian in their 2-1 defeat at Rangers. Prince Buaben missed the game through hamstring injury.

Samuel Owusu was substituted at half time for FK Cukaricki in their 2-1 defeat at Partizan Belgrade.

Abraham Frimpong was left out of Red Star Belgrade squad that defeated Radnicki Nis 3-1.

Reagy Ofosu was taken off at half time for Spartak Trnava in their goalless draw with Ruzomborek.

Sadam Sulley was taken off at half time for Michalovce in their 2-2 draw with ZiOn Moravce.

Mitch Apau and Issah Abass played full period for NK Olimpija Ljubjana in their 1-1 draw at Celje.

Derick Mensah returned from a long layoff to play 90 minutes for NK Aluminij in their 2-0 defeat against Maribor. Arafat Ibrahim Mensah was not included in the match day squad.

John Boye was an unused substitute for Sivasspor in their 2-0 win at Trabzonspor.

Emmanuel Agyemang Badu returned from long injury layoff to make a cameo appearance for Bursaspor in their 4-1 win over relegated side Kardemir Karabukspor.

Latif Blessing came off the bench to seal win for Los Angeles FC as they came from 3-1 down to beat Montreal Impact 5-3. Dominic Oduro was not included in the losers match day squad.

Abu Danladi lasted 52 minutes for Minnesota United in their 3-1 defeat at Seattle Sounders.
