Former Kotoko Coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani says Ghanaian Coaches are capable and competent enough to take up the Black Stars job.
Ghana Football Association executive committee member Winfred Osei Palmer recently questioned the competency of Ghanaian Coaches ruling them out of the top job at the Black Stars.
His comments came at the back of the massive calls for Al Khartoum Coach Kwesi Appiah to be re-assigned as the Black Stars Coach.
Didi Dramani who made history by leading Ghana’s female U17 side (Black Maidens) to win bronze at the 2012 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup insist domestic Coaches are well-endowed to manage the Black Stars team.
“Everyone has his opinion that is why there is freedom of speech, he (Osei [Palmer) has the right to make known his opinion,” he told Peace FM.
“But I will not agree with him, there are lots of Coaches including myself who can manage the Black Stars.
“What does the expatriate Coaches have that we the local Coaches don’t have.
“What are they able to do that we the local Coaches are unable to do, it just the matter of giving the local Coach the same opportunity you give to the foreigner.”
Kwesi Appiah remains the only local Coach in the supposed three-man shortlist for the Black Stars job.
