Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe has called on the gods of the land to strike down any footsoldier of either the National Democratic Congress (NDC) or the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who would attempt to defend a government official charged with corruption.
‘Abronye DC’ as he is called commenting on the ‘Yegye yen sika demonstration’ organized by host of Adom FM’s Morning Show, ‘Dwaso Nsem’, Captain Smart said he was confident that EOCO would work to arrest all corrupt officials named in the list presented to them.
Captain Smart after the widely publicized and attended demonstration presented documents detailing acts of corruption by various public and civil servants and politicians to EOCO demanding their arrest.
About two weeks after the demonstration, Abronye DC claimed some of the persons named for engaging in corrupt acts have started paying monies they allegedly owe the state; and this he said is a positive sign.
He continued that he was very optimistic that the anti-corruption institution would help retrieve all the monies back to the coffers of the state.
Abronye DC, however, warned footsoldiers of both the NDC and the NPP who would converge at the offices of EOCO to protest the arrests of these corrupt officials that they would be struck down by thunder if they do so.
“I am placing a curse in advance, anybody who would gather at the offices of EOCO to demand that my party member who might have been arrested for corruption should be freed would be struck by thunder…,” he said.
