The 2017 Citi FM Family Day Out cooking competition at the Aviation Social Centre in Accra was won by team OK lead by Brunch in the Citi host, Osei Kwame.
The cooking competition gave families the opportunity to represent their favourite presenter in the cooking competition.
Osei Kwame’s team, led by the Cudjoes, prepared a main dish of “Pekisian Jollof”, that trumped the dishes prepared by the other four teams.
The winning team also provided a starting course of pepper soup with beef, with some fruit salad serving as the dessert.
Coming second was Team Jessica with the main dish of Jollof and “kelebab”, Team Kojo Akoto came in third with Omutuo, Bernard Avle’s team came in fourth with Jollof and chicken and Team Nana Ama, notably joined by the Progressive Peoples’ Party Chairman, Nii Allotey Brew-Hammond and their dish of spaghetti and meatballs, came in fifth.
The contestants prepared their dishes with mainly Lele products; who also provided the prizes for the contestants.
The Citi FM Family Day Out is powered by Citi 97.3 FM and sponsored by Lele – Tasty Food, Happy Family – and ShopnSave Supermarkets.
The Family Day Out was the penultimate event in Citi FM Family Month on May, which has had various family related activities organised to consolidate the fortunes of families; including the Family Consecration Service, the Mother’s Day of Honor and the Family Breakfast Series.
