FIFA World Cup 2038 -Ghana could go down in history as the second African country after South Africa in 2010, to stage the World Cup.
Ghana is planning to host the 2038 FIFA World Cup as part of its 40-year national development plan, developed by the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC).
This might sound impossible but with intense determination, this great country can pull this off.

The Director-General of the NDPC, Dr Nii Moi Thompson in an interview on Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana program on Tuesday night revealed that the bid is dependent on the country fulfilling other financial and infrastructure targets set in the draft National Development Plan which was handed over to the government in September 2017.
Ghana has made it to the FIFA World Cup on three occasions- 2006, 2010 and 2014, but they are yet to organize any international competition.

But the NDPC, which is responsible for the long-term development of Ghana as part of its 40-year plan has revealed the architectural works place to serve as a guide for Ghana to win the 2038 FIFA bid in the future.
Dr. Thompson said that as part of the 40-year development plan, a new stadium called the “Black Star Stadium” will be constructed with the “best 21st Century technology while the roof would be made up of solar panels”. The stadium will be connected to road and rail networks.
The NDPC has released an animated video of the Black Star Stadium, the facility expected to be the flagship venue for Ghana’s bid to host the FIFA World Cup in 2038.
Among other things, the entire roof of the stadium would be made up of solar panels to provide electricity for the stadium. Solid and liquid waste from the stadium would be recycled to provide additional energy.
It will also have 4,000 underground parking spaces, equivalent to a four-storey building. President Akufo-Addo received the 40-year national development plan on September 26, 2017.
While Ghana has set its sights on the FIFA World Cup 2038, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay have confirmed a joint bid to host football’s 2030 Fifa World Cup.
The Presidents of the three South American nations confirmed the joint bid at an announcement in Buenos Aires that was attended by Fifa president Gianni Infantino.
