After a successful release of his hit single ‘Otega’ with Sonnie Badu, the royal child, Royal Chris has finally parted ways with Vodafone and is set to release his next single titled ‘Obrempong’.
Christian Owusu popularly known as Royal Chris, emerged winner of the 2014 Vodafone Icons Remix Edition reality show and since then has never looked back.
The talented musician beat off stiff competition from Titi and Alice, who also made it to the top three, to win the music reality show, sponsored by telecommunication giant, Vodafone.
His new single ‘Obrempong’ will blow your mind. Produced by Genius selection, the song speaks of the greatness of God and how all the things He created in the universe attest to His greatness.
The song basically rides on a laid-back reggae beat carefully laced with the powerful voice of Royal Chris. It is a blend of English and Twi which is perfectly delivered by Royal Chris.
The much awaited single drops on 8th October and will be followed by various radio and television interviews by the gospel musician. He is currently working on his debut album under the management of Vahil Entertainment. He has promised his fans to always deliver to them soul inspiring music that will touch their hearts and draw them closer to God.
“I want to create music that’s worthy and makes people want to worship and feel the spirit of God and give them value,” said Royal Chris.
Royal Chris since emerging the winner of the reality show has performed on several platforms including the 2015 Ghana UK-Based Achievement (GUBA) Awards, which came off at the Hilton London Metropole Hotel in London last year. He also shared the stage with Sonnie Badu at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2015, and in Kenya, also ministered at various platforms including the Praise Gate Temple UK, and CCTV china.
He performed numerous times at many talent shows till he finally won the Vodafone Icons: Remix Edition in 2014 in Accra after endearing the hearts of his fans.
Royal Chris has always been serious with music at an early age. He believes that his ambition to transform lives through inspired rhythmic words of God and his new single ‘Obrempong’ will do just that.
