President Mahama on Ebola and Investment in Africa

(The Presidency, Accra)President John Mahama has expressed optimism that there will be a positive turnaround in the fight against the Ebola Virus Disease. The totality of ongoing international efforts, Mr Mahama noted, will contribute positively to addressing the current menace.
While the first severe cases of Ebola were recorded in West African countries with Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone badly hit, the United States of America and Spain have lately also recorded some cases.
Contributing to a Presidential Panel Discussion to open The Global African Investment Summit in London on Monday, President Mahama challenged investors not to be discouraged by the Ebola outbreak to ignore the opportunities that Africa offers.
The Panel discussion, which set the stage for the presentation of various country projects and investment opportunities, also had contributions from Rwandan President Yoweri Museveni and the Prime Minister of Tanzania Mizengo Pinda.
