President John Dramani Mahama has said that Ghanains are supposed to renew his mandate come December 7, seeing that he has satisfactorily delivered to the nation when it comes to development.

Mahama made these statements in the Wa West district as he started his 3-day campaign tour of the Upper West region. Addressing chiefs and people of the Dorimo traditional area, Mahama said that he has brought development to the country which is the major reason why he was elected into office.

The President pointed out that though there is still room for more development in some areas, much have been done in the aspect of education, infrastructure and health. He therefore urged the people to renew his mandate to enable him continue the development process.

Mahama derided the clamour for change by the opposition. According to him, there is no need for the calls for change since his government has been able to bring the country to where it is today.

Change is happening already. Why call for change when we have been able to transform this country to where we are now? He queried.

Appreciating the President’s effort so far in bringing development to the area, the paramount chief of the Dorimon traditional area Naa Sohemwinenye Goreh II appealed to Mahama to see to the construction of the roads in the district.

President Mahama has never admitted to the wide claims that his administration has been unfavourable to Ghanaians. He has always touted his achievements in his first four years in office, insisting he deserves a second tenure to enable him continue his good works.

However, Ghanaians will have the final say come December 7; that is, if fairness will be allowed to prevail in the polls.
