According to the concerned chiefs, his statement was a total deviation from the consented speech given him on their behalf to be presented at the function, hence the public should rubbish it.

The acting president of the Akwamu Traditional Council, Osuogyasonu Yaw Boadu I, during a mini rally at Akosombo last week, declared the support of the traditional council for President John Mahama’s second term bid.

“Chiefs from Akwamu, Anum and Boso say the amount of developments they have witnessed only point to the fact that Mahama’s mandate must be renewed”, the chief noted, adding that anyone who will vote another party will be cursed.

But in an interview on Asempa FM, yesterday afternoon, Nana Semenhyia Darko II, Gyase of Akwamuman Traditional Area, indicated that Akwasidae, on which day Nana Yaw Boadu I, said all other party members will cursed is normally used to make request for success, long life, money, fruit of the womb and good tidings for all who share in their belief.

“We do not use that day to destroy or curse people, so he was wrong to say that”, he added.

He hinted that what really was the concern of all the chiefs was the condition of their roads and the water challenges they are facing but he ignored those and made his own statement which was unfortunate.

Nana Gyase said all the Chiefs in Anum, Boso and Akwamu have been saddened by those statements and thus have called him to order.

“A Chief cannot do that because he governs a village with people from diverse background in politics, therefore he or she cannot be bias in his speech”, he told Asempa FM.

Nana Semenhyia Darko II, therefore assured the public that the palace will deal with the issue for the confidence they have in them to be maintained.
