Women in Onwe, Nkurakan and Amissah-Mpesiem Electoral area in the Upper Denkyira East Municipality of the Central Region have refused to satisfy their husbands in bed to prevent getting pregnant due to the deplorable nature of roads in the area.
Some irate women who spoke to Adom News’ Kofi Adjei said government has failed to construct their roads and as a result, pregnant women in the area keep losing their lives on their way to the hospital.
The only panacea the women said is to deny their husbands sex to avoid getting pregnant.
One woman who spoke to Adom News said any time the pregnant women are being transported to the hospital on the road, they will either die on the way or get miscarriages.
“Women who make love with their partners get themselves impregnated and on their way to the labour ward, due to the bad nature of our roads that government has failed to construct, they die. We are also scared to have sex with our men because we don’t want to die” she said.
They have therefore called on government to intervene and construct their roads or face their wrath in the upcoming polls.
