We Can’t Be Blamed For Death of Student – Headmaster of K’dua Sectech

The Headmaster of Koforidua Senior High Technical School, (SECTEC), Samuel Foli has mounted a strong defense insisting the School cannot be blamed for the death of a second year student who died Sunday dawn after sneaking out to a different school to attend entertainment.

According to the headmaster, the deceased student who was recovering from illness broke bounds with colleagues which is against the school rules.

He said the normal roll call taken every 11pm detected their absence in their dormitories hence were listed for punishment.

Mr. Foli enumerated population explosion and incomplete walling of the school as some of the challenges the school is facing in controlling Borden students.

Speaking to Kasapa News after a meeting with family of the deceased, the headmaster explained that, the school and the family are assisting police to investigate the incident.

The body of the student has been deposited at the morgue pending police investigation.

The form two Science student died after sneaking out of School Saturday.

The deceased together with some colleagues sneaked out of the school hostel to attend entertainment program held by Liberty Vocational Institute, a girls school, Saturday Evening but failed to return to School.

He instead opted to sleep with friends at GATECO Hostel, a private hostel facility which is located some distance away from the School.

According to information gathered, the student reportedly suffered severe heart attack at around 2am Sunday dawn which led to him vomiting blood but the students around couldn’t get a car to rush the dying student to hospital.

It was around 5am that he was rushed to the Koforidua Regional Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
