UPS Student Stabbed to Death by Boyfriend

A student at the University of Professional Studies, has been stabbed to death by another student believed to be her boyfriend. The incident occurred on Thursday at the victim’s hostel. The student, who is also a taxi driver reportedly stabbed the victim several times in the head and in the chest.
Citi News’ Jessica Ayorkor Aryee who was reporting from the school said the suspect who attempted committing suicide after the incident had been rushed to the hospital while the body of deceased had been sent to the morgue. Narrating the incident, a brother of the victim who only gave his name as Alfred told Citi News her sister was getting ready for lectures when the guy just came in and stabbed her several times and also stabbed himself and fell unconscious.
Reasons for the suspect’s action are unknown but reports indicate that he resorted to the action because he suspected his girlfriend was cheating on him. The case has been referred to the Legon Police Station for investigations.
