Peace is enviable, some countries yearn for the peace we enjoy as a nation. War break homes, destroy properties, causes separation of loved ones etc. little things sparkle up wars and they include subjecting another’s personality, religion, tribe, culture or political party to inferiority.
Ghana has being a renowned peaceful country accredited as such worldwide and this is why I earlier said our peace is enviable. However, you don’t abuse the current peace you have for political, tribal and ethnic reasons. When pandemonium breaks loose, it isn’t the one who sparked up the chaos the only one who suffers but everyone in the nation. Like the way fire starts from one small corner and spread throughout an entire area, such is how war begins and trust me, you can’t stop war when it begins. Our country is blessed with individuals who are quite provocative when it comes to making their political and tribal analysis/debates but yet we still enjoy our peace. We can’t play the blame games with who started a chaos, what is necessary is realizing that, everyone matters and if it’s a political campaign, you do yours peacefully and respect the other parties campaign without necessarily attacking your opponent. We are civilians and our constitutional duty is to ensure that you vote for the candidate with the right policies to resume office after elections. The reason why Manifestoes are made and launched by parties is for you to read and make your own decision if you really think this party really spoke what I deserved to hear and what I think this nation needs.
Why am I saying this? Elections are supposed to be happy moments where we vote with joy with the viewpoint of electing a candidate capable enough to ensure our wellbeing and take the nation to the next level. Now, let me go straight to the point and be emphatic without any provocation, with regards to what happened on the 13/11/2016, Sunday, was an incident which could have caused pandemonium if the situation is/had not being properly taken care of and no party what so ever can justify this action to favor his party. Once again, as I always remark, this nation is bigger than any political party in this nation. As I listened to Oman fm and Montie fm, I realise, diabolism is at work in the nation. You are highly misled politically with these two electronic stations. I seem however to be disappointed with the peace council and opinion leaders in this nation, I seem disappointed how none of our peace advocators has not come out to condemn provocative statements made by members from these two political parties who in a way or the other has caused the nation its economic and social lose. In the event of war, its aftermath would see Ghana a very devastated country because even in the absence of war, greater percentage of its citizenry are economically suffering, then what happens after war which leaves a nation broken, destroyed, and needs to be rebuilt again. Unlike China, in the face of politically corrupt Ghanaian leaders, all we need is peace to continue enjoying the current atmosphere we have. We can’t compromise our peace for politicians so this article is to urge our younger brothers and sisters, the old, the elite and the academically challenged to beware of the dangers too much partisanship and chaos can cause, we only have one nation and we must make it stand tall. In the presence of chaos, no nation is going to absorb us so let’s bare that in mind. Let’s avoid any form of rhetoric speech that is meant to provoke the other; let’s not leave any indelible history such sorrowful for this nation. Our peace advocators must rise up and speak for the nation and ensure such small chaos does not happen again in our political campaigns as we go forward.
