Prince Mckay, CEO of Big Events Ghana, organizers of the annual Radio and Television Personality (RTP) Awards has announced on Onua 95.1FM that Shatta Wale has been billed to perform at the grand event.
The 6th edition of the Awards will be held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) in 22 October, 2016.
In an interview with Christian Agyei Frimpong host of Anigye Mmre, Prince Mckay also hinted that, he has invested about ¢70,000 in just plaques which will be brought from the United States of America.
Days after the nomination list was released, the usual debate from the public, entertainment pundits, radio and television presenters have started already.
Some people are of the view that certain presenters who have been nominated don’t deserve their nomination.
Other radio and television presenters are of the view that, the awards scheme is centered on Accra and Kumasi.
Some also believe that the organizers must be able to name the jury or committee involved in the research process, but as it stands now Prince Mckay is not ready to name the jury because he thinks as soon as he makes their names available, people may try to influence them, which he thinks will manipulate the whole process.
