Sarkodie Wins Artiste of the Year after beating several other legendary African acts at Legends Awards!
Rapper Sarkodie was crowned the ‘Artiste of the Year’ at this year’s African Legends Awards. The event which was held at the BESPOKE Event Centre in Lagos-Nigeria, last week saw scores of legendary African acts take home various prestigious awards.

Sarkodie Wins Artiste of the Year after beating several other legendary African acts like AKA (South Africa), D’Banj (Nigeria), K’naan (Somalia), Yemi Alade (Nigeria), Asa (Nigeria), Daddy Lumba and Amandzeba.
The event hosted by Bryan Okwara and Ella Mensa, was powered by Flexy Entertainment with support from Smile Global Entertainment.
It has indeed been a good year for the legendary rapper, who also picked up the award for the Top Subscribed YouTube Channel in Ghana, in November. The rap legend who could not hide his joy at the feat he recently achieved, shared the plaque on social media with the caption;
Thank you #AELA2016 for the African Legend Artiste of The Year.
Sarkodie wins Artiste of the Year Award alongside being nominated for two categories including the African Best Rap Artiste category and the African Legend Artistes of the year.
