The National Youth Organizer of NPP, Mr. Sammy Awuku has been installed Nkosuohene under the stool name Nana Ofori Dwarefo Ntiamoah SAFROWADE I.
The ceremony was performed by the Nkwatia Benkumhene, Nana Baah Oware Santrowade II on Tuesday 14th February, 2017 at his Palace.
According to the Benkumhene, they were inspired by Mr Awuku’s courageous demeanour – a strong voice for the voiceless – before, during and after the elections hence the descision to enstool him.
The chief added that the national youth organizer’s messages and activities gave hope to the hopeless and he was appreciated for putting his precious life on the line for the sake of Ghanaians.
“The Youthful exuberance demonstrated by the organizer got Ghanaians especially the youth to ensure that the right things were seen as a shared responsibility and not the job of politicians alone. Therefore, there could not have been a better reward from the traditional council.” said the Benkumhene.
In his acceptance speech, Nana Ofori Dwarefo Ntiamoah SAFROWADE I (Sammy Awuku) thanked the Chiefs for the honour.
He promised to uphold the duty to ensure that the youth of Nkwatia are focused, determined to turn around the fortunes of their town through development.
