She proposed that such superiors with unbridled sexual libido seeking to unleash them on their employees be severely sanctioned to serve as a deterrent to others.

Majority of women have complained that they are harassed in their various offices either by their colleagues or bosses.

She observed that sexual harassment in offices is on the rise, saying moral decadence has gone down in the country.

According to her, people in managerial positions are always found culpable in this act.

The Executive Director for Center for Gender Empowering Development indicated that verbal and physical sexual harassment affect women psychologically.

‘Be bold to speak up if your bosses are making advances at you, people will insult you but if you begin to speak up people will know what you are worth and stand for.

I don’t think thousands of men will allow this to cause their jobs, they know they have their dignities and families at stake,’ she advised.

Speaking on Ultimate breakfast show hosted by Lantam Papanko, she disagreed with assertion that women bring harassment problems upon themselves by dressing provocatively.

She wondered what attract men to rape toddlers who are old enough to be their children.

‘Most of the institutions have their dressing code policies, and staffs are told what to wear and what not to wear, even the hotels and banks do, so if you have a female worker who does not conform with the dress code ethics and all that you could tell her is that, the institution does not stands for this, so change your dress.

What happens to a 12 year old who is raped by a 60-year-old man, you can’t really understand the psyche of men at times,’ she said.

She advised women to dress presentable to their various offices, saying others dress ignorantly to entice men for favours.

‘How smart are you at what you are given to do at work, it’s what you are worth that will make you go higher, when you take time to empower yourself you will go places,’ she urged.
