A 26-year-old self-styled prophet, Michael Apah, is in the grips of the Assin Fosu police for raping a 25-year-old lady (name withheld).
The prophet is also alleged to have duped the lady’s father who is a pastor of a church at Assin Fosu in the Central region.
Apah is said to have told the pastor that some evil forces were working against his church necessitating a form of spiritual cleansing in order for the church to experience growth.
Again, he is said to have demanded a whopping sum from the pastor to undertake the said spiritual cleansing.
According to reports, Apah further claimed that the pastor’s daughter was also under spiritual attack, requiring deliverance. In exorcising the spirit from the lady, he was alleged to have raped and impregnated her.
Apah is therefore set to be arraigned before court in the coming days.
DSP Daniel Dartteh, the Assin Fosu district police commander confirmed the incident to Starr News’ Central region correspondent, Kwaku Baa Acheamfour.
