Atebubu Traditional Council has commended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for nominating Kwaku Asomah-Chereme as the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister.
President of the Atebubu Traditional Council, Nana Owusu Achiaw Obrempong, in this regard pledged his outfit’s unflinching support for the president’s nominee.
He was hopeful that with their support the region will get the needed development which would also transcend to Atebubu and its environs.
“I and my people want to commend President Akufo-Addo for the appointments so far. Just recently the President nominated Brong Ahafo Regional Minister and we were very happy when we heard the nomination,” Nana Obreampong said.
Nana Obrempong also called on the president to fulfil all his promises.
Meanwhile, the Nkoransa Youth Association led by its leader, Nana Nyarko Ababio, has threatened to invoke curses on members of the Appointments Committee of Parliament if they fail to approve Mr. Chereme.
This follows earlier rejection of the president’s nominee by the Sunyani Traditional Council.
According to him, Brong Ahafo Region has so many traditional councils so “one council cannot reject the president’s nominee.”
