President John Dramani Mahama has stated in no uncertain terms that his administration is not in a mood to share power with any political party , especially the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He stated that “there’s not going to be power sharing as some people hope. They want to trigger power sharing. We are going to win the elections with huge margins so nobody tries to go to the supreme court.”

It would be recalled that after President Mahama won the elections of 2012 with just three months of campaign, the twice defeated candidate litigated the results at the supreme Court for close to a year.  This President Mahama  has stated won’t happen again , because he would win the elections by 54, 55 or 56%.

The President who sang the gospel song “great things he has done, greater things he will do unto the Lord be the glory…” together with the crowd after what he termed as a million man match on Sunday morning,  indicated that watching carefully the NPP are creating the grounds to dispute the election. Saying , the NPP have a consistent pattern trying to undermine the credibility of the Electoral Commission  (EC).

“Everyday in pro NPP nrwspapers both the EC boss and the commission are under attack. It is a deliberate move, so when the NDC has won they will create the bases to say that they won’t accept the results, but as long as I remain Commander – In-Chief , our elections won’t be undermined,” the President said.

He urged supporters of the NDC to turn out in their numbers on December 7 and vote for number 3 on the ballot paper , and vote for the umbrella for the parliamentary candidates.

According to him, the NDC is a silent majority that doesn’t make noise, they keep quite and don’t talk.

The walk drew together millions of party supporters who walked through some principal streets of Accra especially Nima and sorrounding areas.
