Mr. Droefenu gave the advise when he donated two sets of desktop computers and assorted items worth GHc2,500 to the school last week.

John Sackey Memorial school which is located at Amoakofoa, a fishing community in the Cape Coast metropolis lacks many educational facilities.

The situation is further worsoned when the pupils sit for ICT exams at the Basic Education Examination Certificate (BECE) hence the IT equipment the PPP candidate donated is in the right direction.

Addressing the students, Mr. Droefenu urged the school to use the computers for the purpose to which they were donated.

“I have always been thinking about what I can do to help my country but not what my country can do for me. This is what I can provide in these hard times and I hope you would brighten your little corner with this,” he stated.

He also called on benovolent organisations to help support the school to enable them be at par with others in urban areas.

“Central region is known as the citadel of education but it would sudden you to know that our childtrn find it difficult to get admission into these big schools so let me use this opportunity to call on churches, NGOs and well endowed persons to extend their arms to these deprived schools.”

For his part, the headmaster of the school, John Ekow Sackey expressed his profound gratitude and promised to make good use of the items.
