The Diverse Currencies of Africa: Impact on Economic Growth

Many Ghanaians are now beginning to feel that political Parties only profess an interest in the people when it is voting time only to abandon them in between elections. Meanwhile, the rich Patrons of these Parties are always desperate to reap the harvest of what they invested in winning Power and constantly use their positions for profitable deals.

It is no wonder that people seem disinterested in the voter registration exercise by the Electoral Commission which deleted some 56,772 people who used NHIS as a form of identity from the electoral role.

However more that 30,000 people whose names were deleted from the electoral roll for using the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) cards has failed to re-register during the just ended registration exercise and the EC had fixed August 5th to 13th 2016 for the NHIS card registration to get back onto to the voters register a head of the December polls. It is only Cadres who can deal with Nana Konadu and her husband with vim.

Nana Konadu’s betrayal

The Rawlingses have not been unaware that Neo-Colonialism has created a political economy in which the ruling elite held both political and economic power – enabling them to hold the masses to Ransom. Yet, they believed that a long – term programme to wrestle Economic POWER from foreign domination needed time – education, conscientisation, mobilization, production, determination and above all confidence of the people.

The prospects of real democracy in which the people were MASTERS of their own destiny had dawned on the Rawlingses. They knew that there were people in the society who resented initiatives of working people and who are even frightened at the prospects of real democracy.

The historical roots of our present state of underdevelopment stem from British colonialism bequeathed to a set pattern of economic development, social structures attitudes and an oppressive and parasitic state machinery.

The retention of the structures of colonialism has assured the continued colonialism of our country by foreign financial interests, with attendant losses of the country’s resources and had earned wealth in a new phase of colonialism, which has been amply described as neo – colonialism.

“The system structures and social arrangement in the Huge and Parasite Public Service which has been so unwieldy but which continues to service the existing Neo – colonial arrangement must be dismantled pruned, or abolished if we are to make any head in our national struggle during this phase of the Revolution” – That was J. J. Rawlings then PNDC Chairman in March 1982.

Was the 31st December revolution able to dismantle, prune or abolish the Public Service in Ghana for 10years that the PNDC was in power? The answer is capital NO. Why? It was because the International Monetary Fund (IMF/World Bank) lured him and promised to give his government loans to revive Ghana’s ailing economy in 1983 and he swallowed his own words before drinking the bitter economic quinine given to him by the IMF/ World Bank officials who represent Neo – Colonialism after visiting Ghana from the United States, the headquarters of Neo – colonialism.

Nana Konadu has been baptized with Dishonesty and Lies by the NPP and cannot see anything beyond her TRIBE.

The main aim of the revolutionary transformation in Dec 1981 was first and foremost to break the existing foreign monopoly control over the economy and the social life. Did our revolution succeed in breaking the existing foreign monopoly control over Ghana’s economy from 1982 – 1993? The answer is Capital NO. As a Card bearing member of the June Four Movement and also the C.D.R’s under the PNDC – I have written the FACTS. We must make a preliminary admission that Ghana today 2016, is a 100% Neo – colony that cannot break from existing neo – colonial relations and that is the main reason why Rawlings wife, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings who is the Life Patron of the June Four Movement but has never appeared on any June four platform has gone to join the local representatives of Neo – Colonialism in Ghana- the NPP after betraying the June 4 and 31st December Revolutions.

She is now the National Chairperson of Greedy Bastards In Ghana. She has fully joined those whose forebears crippled Ghana and they have also formed the blood soaleed NPP to move the country backwards with the full support of Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings and so posterity will NOT forgive her for betraying the June 4 and 31st December revolutions after allegedly amassing billions of Ghana cedis that should have been paid to Cadres as Ex-gratia awards. She must think twice, Keep your fingers crossed, I shall Return?
