But some passengers traveling to the various regions to vote on December 7 have expressed fear they may not be able to exercise their franchise due to the unavailability of buses at the various bus terminals.

Hundreds of voters appear stranded when 3news.com correspondents visited some bus terminals.

3news.com’s checks at the VIP terminal near the Kwame Nkrumah circle in Accra and STC indicates that some of the passengers have been there since 5 am Tuesday morning.

However the passengers say nothing will deter them from traveling to exercise their franchise.

Head of Public Affairs a the State Transport Corporation (STC), Nana Ama Sarfowaa disclosed to 3news.com that the company has hired 40 of their buses out to political parties and have only 15 left to convey passengers to their various destinations.

“I’m just coming from VIP with the intention of getting a bust from here to Kumasi, but here at STC, the situation is not any better.

“I fear I may not be able to travel and cast my ballot since there are no cars available.

“We don’t even know what is happening…no one is talking to us

“We have been here since 5am and we are still hoping and waiting for a miracle happens,” one of the stranded passengers told 3news.com.

Some had to resort to unconventional way of transport in Ghana by cramming themselves into cargo trucks.

A station manager at the Neoplan Station at Circle told our correspondent Kwame Kakraba that about 10 cargo trucks have transported passengers to Kumasi in the Ashanti region between 6am and 2:00pm.
