The two were apprehended by the residents
One person is in the grips of the Takoradi Police Command for allegedly attempting to use a six-year-old girl for money rituals.
According to an eyewitness who narrated the incident to Empire News’ Emmanuel Ohene Gyan, the two young men who were in a taxi with registration number GW-9619-Q were spotted at Diabene a suburb in the Essikado -Ketan constituency Tuesday evening.
The eyewitness said a resident who was driving home around that time became suspicious of the two young men and decided to monitor their movements and activities until they got to Effiekuma a popular suburb in Takoradi where he raised an alarm.
The two young men were apprehended by the residents and challenged to open their car booth only to find the six-year-old girl.
The driver of the taxi absconded in the process but luck eluded the other suspect who was taken to the Police station.
Meanwhile, the police have begun investigations into the incident while a search is underway to arrest the escaped driver.
