The governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), is mocking and berating the leadership of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) for selling its party T-shirts and other paraphernalia meant for free to the ordinary supporters to raise funds for the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s campaign for president 2016.

David Adjah, the composer of the popular NDC campaign song “Ede De Be De Be “revealed this when he mounted the podium to address the teeming supporters of the party at the campaign launch of  Comfort Doyo Cudjoe Ghansah, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ada East Constituency and Minister of State at the presidency in the Greater Accra Region.

The launched at Kasseh junction over the weekend was attended by the MP for Sege Constituency, Christian  Otuteye, George Teye Adat; District Chief Executive(DCE) for Sege, Nurudeen Ahetor, DCE for Ada East and the Minister of Youth and Sports, Nii Lante Vanderpuije and MP for Odododiodioo Constituency amongst others.

According to him, the NPP, which in 2008 showed opulence by importing paragliding pilots from South Africa to distribute the party’s flyers across the country is now begging for funds to run the 2016 campaign.

He noted that this beats his imagination because it represents how reckless the NPP could be especially when the people of Ghana entrust power into their hands in the December polls.

He posited that the NPP, which claimed to be resourceful and made up of people with resource is broke to the extent that it has resorted to selling T’ shirts to raise funds for the campaign.

He explained  T’ shirts for campaigns have over  the years been souvenirs for campaigning but the NPP being broke has turned it into a money making venture to milk innocent Ghanaians ahead of the 2016 campaign.

He said the NPP is traveling the villages and telling ordinary people to make a contribution for the shirts which are supposed to be free.

Electrifying the crowd, the Minister for Youth and Sports said the NPP has no good intension for Dangbe people because when ex-president John Agyekum Kufour was President for eight years he never attended the any of the annual festivals of the chiefs and people of the Ada.

He said it is only under the reign of the governing NDC that the Ada area saw development and for that matter an asphalt road.

He asked the supporters gathered at the launch whether they will sell their colour television set for a black and white television set.

He said the NPP does not respect Ghanaians by claiming that they have the men to develop the country when they have ruled this country for eight years under the Kufour’s administration but did nothing.

He added that Madam Ghansah is one of the hard working women MPs in Parliament who has helped to move the Dangbe area forward in terms of development.

“Now the people of Ada have seen asphalted roads as well as hospitals, schools among others so will they sell their colour television under President John Dramani Mahama for a black and white television set being offered by the NPP”?

On her part, Comfort Doyo Cudjoe Ghansah said the governing NDC is offering the people of Ada evidence governance adding that even Irelands in the Constituency have had their fair share of the national cake.

She told the supporters that it only under her tenure that the sick children in the area will have a separate block from the main hospital in the area.

She promised them that very soon the road from Kasseh Junction to Ada Foah will be asphalted if they ensure a second bid for President John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming elections.
