The Metropolitan Chief Executive Officer of Obuasi Richard Akwasi Ofori Agyeman Boadi popularly called Zuba, has accused the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) of doling out monies to officials of the Electoral Commission (EC) to rig the December elections in their favour.
Speaking on Ultimate Breakfast Show hosted Lantam Papanko, he claimed the NPP is desperate for power hence their move to buy their way out of defeat which is staring them in the face.
Zuba stated that he will soon mention names of the NPP bigwigs who have been giving out monies to EC officials to influence the elections in the Ashanti, Western and other regions.
He said the NPP is only tickling itself of scheming devious acts in the dark saying the party will always be exposed.
The Obuasi MCE alleged that Mr Paul Afoko was suspended because he was alleged to be leaking information adding that information still leaks though he is not actively involved in the party.
‘Information always leaks in NPP camp, the NPP have been giving out GH¢10.000 each to Electoral Commission officials in the Ashanti, Western and other regions. Their meeting points include the Wesley Girls’ guest house in the Kumasi metropolis. I will come out of the list very soon. Whatever you scheme, we will know, when you give money to people we know, we know of the Israelites who came to give you money.
I will give you the numbers of the beneficiaries of the money they are distributing, you will be shocked. They give them the money to do things. They think that we don’t know what they are doing in dark places, no matter what they will do, at the tail end, we will knock them out, because we are smarter than them,’ he claimed.
