The president has also assured non-interference of government in chieftaincy issues as they are the preserved of tradition.

The president’s message was conveyed to the Regent of Bimbilla, Yelimbogu Na Andani Dasana, as well as his elders and the people of Bimbilla by the Interior Minister Ambrose Dery during a visit by government delegation to Bimbila.

Meanwhile, the Interior Minister has stated that no miscreants will be shielded under the Akufo-Addo-led government

Ambrose Dery entreated residents to provide intelligence that will lead to swift intervention of security.

The government delegation, which arrived in the town on Tuesday, also encouraged residents to allow children to return to school. They also called on officials of the Bimbilla District Hospital to continue running the facility for the sake of people’s lives.

Other members of the delegation include Defense Minister Dominic Nitiwul, and Gender, Children and Social Protection Minister Madam Hafiza Otiko Djaba.

The delegation would among other things unravel the cause of the recent clashes between feuding factions Salifu Dawuni and Andani Dasana of the Gurmayili family of Nanum that led to the death of some 10 people including children.

The team together with leaders of the Regional and District Security Committee led by the General Commanding officer Brigadier Stanley Ahlor have been in a closed door meeting.

3new.com has however gathered that on the agenda of the meeting is the level of investigation into last Thursday’s clashes.
