Nkrumah’s Hometown Deserves Better

The flagbearer of the leading opposition party New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo on Sunday ended his campaign tour at Nkroful in the Western Region at Nkroful in the Ellembele constituency.

Addressing chiefs and thousands of party supporters, Nana Addo said his government would give a face-lift to Nkroful, the hometown of Ghana’s first president, Kwame Nkrumah.

He was disappointed at the bad nature of roads in the area and also poor state of Nkroful SHS where students attend classes at the dining Hall.

According to him, the nation has money but its citizens are hungry because of bad leadership. Nana Addo re-echoed his one-district-one factory policy, free SHS, bring back the teachers and nursing training allowance.

He promised the three Nzema Districts that his government would involve some key figures in the areas to fast track development in the area.

He also asked Ghanaians to also pray for the EC to enable us have free, fair and transparent election.

On his part, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Ellembele also promised to bring back the Kwame Nkrumah Education fund which has collapsed under the NDC. He urged all to vote massively for the NPP.

Earlier in the day, Nana Akufo-Addo stomped the Evalue Gwira Constituency where he worshiped at the Roman Catholic Church in Axim. He then visited the five paramount chiefs in the constituency and later addressed party supporters in Axim at the Victoria Park.

There, Nana Addo promised to construct a sea defense wall and a landing beach to facilitate a smooth operation of their fishing business.

Nana Addo also took his tour to the Jomoro District where he joined Nananom and the Parliamentary Candidate Paul Essien to commission a market store built by him (Parliamentary Candidate) during his tenure as the Assemblyman of Tikobo No. 1 in the Jomoro District.
